We were lucky enough to be able to take Pat, together with Vicky and Sarah [one trip each], to the bulb fields of Holland and to visit parts of France. When we visited Beauvais, just north of Paris, we met Beatrice's mother [Renee] and other relatives at a celebration gathering. Although Pat did not speak any French and Renee did not speak any English they got on famously for several hours.
